Well, unfortunately it had to happen sooner or later. My wonderful husband has left for his academy. Needless to say, life isn't too peachy currently. The first couple of days are always the hardest, then new routines are established and the pain slowly eases to bearable.
This being the third time since Nik and I met that he has left for an extended period of time, I would think that I would have built up a tolerance at some point. I guess it just never gets easier. I am thankful for the fact that he will not be going over sea's and that I will have more opportunities to speak with him than if he were deployed. I will keep everyone updated on how he is doing and what is taking place in the meantime.
